Options


-addcomment

Adds the comment column as the last column of the text file.

Used in: export


-admlang:X

Specifies the TMX file adminlang attribute. E.g. "en".

Used in: export


-appfiles

Include the project target files to the exchange package.

Used in: exchange


-author:"S"

Specifies the exchange package author name.

Used in: exchange


-column:X

Specifies the list of columns in the file. If the imported file is a text file you must give the columns. Separate multiple columns with semi colon (;) Language columns use the same ISO code as the -lang:X option. The following special column can be used:

na Native value
co Context information
cm Translation comment
ig Ignore this column

Used in: import


-comment:X

Specifies when the comments are imported.

0 Never.
1 If the current comment is empty. (Default option)
2 Always.

Used in: import


-context:X

Specifies the position of the context column in text file.

0 No context column available. (Default option)
1 Context column is the first column.
2 Context column is the second column after the native column.
3 Context column is the last column.

Used in: export


-des:"S"

Specifies the exchange package description.

Used in: exchange


-dnt

Specifies to import rows having the status "Do Not Translate" or mark the rows as read/write if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-dup

Specifies to translate only the duplicate strings.

Used in: translate


-dup:X

Specifies how to handle the duplicated native values:

0 Handle all items. (Default option)
1 Those having different properties.
2 Only the first occurrence.

Used in: export, exchange


-empty

Forces to import translation even if it is empty.

Used in: import


-first

Specifies to use the first translation when two or more translations exists. By default the application skips all such translations.

Used in: translate


-format:X

Specifies the format of the exported file:

0 Ansi code page
1 UTF-8 (Default option)
2 UTF-16, little endian
3 UTF-16, big endian

Used in: export


-h

Show command specific help (e.g. MLBuild.exe add -h).

Used in: main application


-lang:X

Specifies the list of language codes to be handled. Separate multiple codes with semi colon (;) Single code is ll[_CC], where ll is the two character ISO-639 language code (e.g. "en") CC is the optional two character ISO-3166 country code (e.g. "US").

Used in: build (Upcoming!), import, export, exchange, translate


-make

Specifies to build only those files that are older than the Multilizer project file.

Used in: build


-method:X

Specifies how the native-translation pairs are located in the project.

0 By context.
1 By native value.
2 First by context then by native value. (Default option)

Used in: import


-name:"S"

Specifies the exchange package name.

Used in: exchange


-noautotra

Specifies not to handle translations having the status "Auto translated" or mark the translations as read-only if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-nobest

Specifies not to handle translations having the status "Best Guess" or mark the translations as read-only if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-nochanged

Specifies not to handle rows having the status "Changed" or mark the rows as read-only if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-nocomment

Specifies not to write comments to the TMX file.

Used in: export


-nocontext

Specifies not to write translation context information to the TMX file.

Used in: export


-noinuse

Specifies not to handle rows having the status "In Use" or mark the rows as read-only if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-nomanual

Specifies not to include Localization Guide document to the exchange package.

Used in: exchange


-nonew

Specifies not to handle rows having the status "New" or mark the rows as read-only if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-nonotready

Specifies not to handle translations having the status "Not Ready" or mark the translations as read-only if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-noqaed

Specifies not to handle translations having the status "QAed" or mark the translations as read-only if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-noready

Specifies not to handle translations having the status "Ready" or mark the translations as read-only if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-nosig

Specifies not to write signature or byte order mark (BOM) to the text file.

Used in: export


-notrans

Specifies not to handle translations having the status "Translated" or mark the translations as read-only if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange


-overwri:X

Specifies when the current translations in the project are overwritten.

0 Never
1 If the translation status is equal or greater than the current one. (Default option)
2 If the translation status is greater than the current one.
3 Always

Used in: import


-q

Specifies the quiet mode. Write no output except errors.

Used in: main application, add, scan, remove, import, translate, build


-quote:X

Specifies the string quotes that are used in the text file.

0 No quotes are used. (Default option)
1 Single quotes (').
2 Double quotes (").

Used in: export


-same

Forces to import translation even if it is the same as the native value.

Used in: import


-separat:X

Specifies the ASCII hex value of the column separator character of the text file. Default value is 9 (tab).

Used in: import, export


-smart

Specifies to scan only those targets that have been changed since the last scan.

Used in: scan


-sort

Specifies that the exported data should be sorted alphabetically.

Used in: export


-srclang:X

Specifies the TMX file srclang attribute. E.g. "*all*".

Used in: export


-status:X

Specifies if the translation status values are imported with the translations.

0 No.
1 Yes. (Default option)
2 Set the translation status to the default value when importing a translation.

Used in: import


-tmxcase:X

Specifies the case of the lang-attribute in TMX file.

0 Use standard ISO case. E.g. "en-US". (Default option)
1 Force all in lower case. E.g. "en-us".
2 Force all in upper case. E.g. "EN-US".

Used in: export


-tmxdtd:X

Specifies the DOCTYPE and DTD usage in TMX file.

0 No DOCTYPE tag is used.
1 Uses the DOCTYPE tag with locale DTD file name.
2 Uses the DOCTYPE tag with DTD URL file name. (Default option)

Used in: export


-tmxempty

Enable writing of empty translations to the TMX file.

Used in: export


-tmxver:X

Specifies the used TMX version. The default value is "1.4".

Used in: export


-type:X

Specifies the target file type where the X can be one of the followings:

delphi Delphi binary file (.exe, .dll, etc.)
cb C++Builder binary file (.exe, .dll, etc.)
cpp C++ binary file (.exe, .dll, etc.)
rc32 Windows resource file (.rc)
vbbin Visual Basic binary file (.exe, .dll, etc.)

If no type is specified MLBuild detects the target type automatically based on the file extension and/or contents.

Used in: add, import


-unused

Specifies to import rows having the status "Unused" or mark the rows as read/write if used in exchange command.

Used in: export, exchange
